Even though every smoker I know wants to quit, they keep smoking, including me. There is something very comforting about holding the cigarette in your hand and taking a puff. I know the harmful effects, I have family members that have been fatally effected by smoking, but I hadn’t found a way to quit. I am completely offended by any smoking ban. I look at any “ban” that is decided by politicians, as opposed to voters, as being a complete shot at my intelligence. Somewhere, someone has decided that the voters are not smart enough to make the decisions, however I believe the Hierarchy is afraid we, as voters, will not make the decisions they want. In saying all of that B.S., I think I have come across something to get my way on all levels.

Smokeless Electronic Cigarettes, what an odd idea. E-cigs give you all of the feeling of smoking, yet have no smoke, decrease the chemicals entering your body, and lower the opportunity for disease. It is absolutely the best way to quit smoking traditional cigarettes, and in the mean time it give us, as smokers, a way around any ban. As of now, the government doesn’t have a real handle on E-cigs. The FDA doesn’t have a stance on E-cigs and the AAPHP is petitioning to have the label on E-cigs changed from “drug-device combination” to “tobacco product”, saying that changing the classification would “promote harm reduction.” Quit smoking with the Electronic Cigarette is very much a reality. There will always be someone, or some group, opposed, however I don’t care. The testimonials of people quitting with the E-cigs is staggering.

A gentleman in Hawaii quit a 9 pack a day habit with the E-cigs, really, 9 packs a day, to a smokeless device, amazing. Our smoking bans are becoming more and more intrusive, so we all need to figure out ways to help ourselves, and stick it to“the man.” I, like just about every other smoker out there, loves smoking, I mean, LOVES smoking, now, I get to smoke, limit the harmful side effects, and do it anywhere I want.
